Did you know Media Blasters was using a DVD on-demand service? Well, not for much longer. They announced on social media that they would be discontinuing the service next year to combat the issue of retailers flagging their DVDs as bootlegs.
Media Blasters CEO John Sirbella said that he is considering halting DVD production altogether, citing sales of the format slowing down over the years.
In the meantime, select titles will be made available on DVD through traditional production, but customers are urged to buy Blu-ray releases instead. They also offering refunds and exchanges to anyone unhappy with a DVD purchase.
