Anime conventions may be cancelled in 2020, but that didn’t stop Netflix from winning the AMV contest. Last week they released a music video for Stan Bush’s “Born to Fight” on the Netflix Anime Youtube channel. The video features footage of Baki and Kengan Ashura intercut with shots of Bush training.
Netflix describes the video:
“Ever feel like you were BORN TO FIGHT? That might just be what Baki Hanma, Ohma Tokita, and everyone else from the worlds of Baki and Kengan Ashura were born to do!”
NoMoreHideTheBall commented, “I dont think the 80s were as 80s as Stan Bush.”
“Born to Fight” feels like a hybrid between something JAM Project would write and that song Lonely Island did with Michael Bolton. It’s one of the most bizarre efforts I’ve seen to promote an anime in a long time. You need to see it to believe it.
