Something you'll learn the more you watch this show is that Grappler Baki is all about ridiculous flashbacks to pad things out. Did a character make and obscure fighting reference? Don't worry -- they'll go into great detail about it. It’s kind of like if Family Guy was about Peter training to be an underground fighting champion.
My suspicions have been confirmed! The staff of New Grappler Baki: In Search of Our Strongest Hero will hold an event on Niconico on June 9, 2018 where they announce "unprecedented important" information about the series.
Baki's fight with Hanayama's has to be postponed because a dozen cops burst in and break up the party. Baki goes home with Kuriyagawa. Hanayama goes outside and tears a car apart with his bare hands.
Baki returns from his mountain quest to find...pretty much everything is the same as he left it. His mom is still looking for people to beat up her son. Yuri is still talking about Russian warrior honor. Hanayama is still a dick. Though he does finally has a line of dialogue, so there’s that.
The Baki/Yasha fight comprises most of the episode. Giving a play-by-play of the action would be ridiculous, so I'm not going to do it. In the middle of the fight, Ando shows up to help with a shotgun, but Baki tells him to stay the fuck out of his business.
