Chainsaw Man manga moves to Shonen Jump+, anime adaptation also in production

When Shueisha announced that Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man was coming to an end, it left fans puzzled. The action-horror manga is at the height of its popularity, so why cancel it now? Rumors began to spread that the series wasn’t really over; it was simply ending its “Weekly Shonen Jump” run because it had become too violent.

Those rumors turned out to be true. It was revealed this week that everyone’s favorite sentient chainsaw would be continuing his hyperviolent adventures in the digital realm. New chapters will be published on the “Shonen Jump+” app and website. Details regarding the launch date and release schedule have not been made public yet.

There is also a Chainsaw Man anime in production courtesy of MAPPA.
