The bizarre connection between Donald Trump and Vic Mignogna

I won’t lie to you — I’m only doing this because I thought the headline was funny. This is some Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon shit. In the midst of the post-election chaos, Criminal Defense Attorney T. Greg Doucette noticed a connection between Vic Mignogna and Donald Trump.

Politico reported that Douglas Hughes of Tyler, Texas was part of Trump’s roster of lawyers hired to challenge the results of the 2020 Presidential Election. Hughes used to be a member of Beard Harris Bullock Hughes, the law firm Mignogna hired to sue Funimation, Monica Rial, Ron Toye, and Jamie Marchi for defamation.

Doucette became popular on AniTwitter for his long-form legal commentary of Mignogna’s lawsuit. His Twitter thread is known as The Threadnaught, and it is so massive that it has trouble loading properly on some apps.
